
Beau Brown wants you to Touch the Puppet Head!
Some people don't realize, but Atlanta is a pretty big deal in the puppetry world. One of the festival's special presentations, Beau Brown's Touch the Puppet Head is a mix of puppet film shorts and live puppet acts. Puppeteers from Atlanta and beyond will dazzle the audience with their modern day vaudeville performances.

Pivot partners with ATLFF to present full documentary lineup
The 2014 Atlanta Film Festival proudly announces the addition of special presentations from Pivot, Participant Media’s new cable network targeting millennials. Pivot is sponsoring the festival’s entire documentary lineup and will showcase documentary features "The Internet’s Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz" and "Cesar’s Last Fast" during the festival.

WonderRoot partners with the Atlanta Film Festival to host WonderRoot’s Generally Local, Mostly Independent Filmmakers Night. The event will kick-start ATLFF on Thursday, March 27th at 8:00 PM at The Plaza Theatre.

Backers Jury gives 2014 ATLFF Filmmaker to Watch Award to "The Bravest, The Boldest"
The polls are closed, the votes have been tallied, and the backers jury has decided: Moon Molson's: The Bravest, The Boldest is the winner of the 2014 ATLFF Filmmaker To Watch Award. As part of the award, Molson will receive a travel stipend to come to Atlanta and accept the award at the Awards Brunch on Saturday April 5.

In addition to over 50 feature films, 11 short film blocks and over a dozen special presentations, the Atlanta Film Festival is also home to a highly buzzed music video competition.
