NARRATIVE FEATURE JURY

Clint Bowie
Artistic Director, New Orleans Film Society

Clint Bowie is the Artistic Director of the New Orleans Film Society, where he manages the curation of the organization's year-round programming, including the Academy Award–qualifying New Orleans Film Festival. He has served on review committees for ITVS, Creative Capital, National Endowment for the Arts, FilmNorth, and Latino Public Broadcasting, and has spoken on panels organized by Sundance Institute, Firelight Media, Center for Asian American Media, Palm Springs International ShortFest, ArtHouse Convergence, and others. He has served on the board of directors for the Film Festival Alliance and on the Advisory Board for the Overlook Film Festival. He previously worked as a print journalist at publications across the country. 

Millie De Chirico
Film Programmer

Millie De Chirico is an accomplished professional with over eighteen years of experience in film and television. She was the chief programmer of TCM Underground, the beloved late-night cult movie franchise on Turner Classic Movies, that ran from 2006 - 2022. She has provided film writing, curation, and presenting for the Alamo Drafthouse, A24, the New Beverly Cinema, the University of Southern California, and The Ohio State University. She is also the co-author of TCM Underground: 50 Must-See Films from the World of Classic Cult and Late-Night Cinema, published by Running Press, October 2022 and currently hosts the weekly film double feature podcast, I Saw What You Did, on the Exactly Right network.


DOCUMENTARY FEATURE JURY

Harrison Ellis "Rockstar Brothers"
Director, Writer, Producer

A Jamaican - American director, writer, and producer. Ellis serves as a Development Manager for Crazy Legs Productions and has developed & produced a slate of projects for Discovery+, Lifetime, HGTV, Magnolia Network, CRACKLE, and TLC. Harrison was also instrumental in the development and launch of the new football league Fan Controlled Football (FCF), which airs on Peacock, NBCLX, Twitch, and DAZN.

​Harrison is a millennial director on the rise, who was awarded a finalist for a film he directed titled Chains at the Official Oscar Qualifying festival, Peachtree Village International Film Festival. Another film Harrison directed titled Perception was nominated for Best Short at the Morehouse Human Rights Film Festival. In 2020, he developed a film titled Surviving Clotilda that was featured in the SCAD Film Festival and is on display at the Mobile City Museum.

He received his Bachelor in Business Finance from Georgia Southern University and an M.A. in Film & Television from Savannah College of Art & Design.

Tiffany Bartok
Filmmaker

Tiffany's directorial debut, Larger Than Life: The Kevyn Aucoin Story, is a feature documentary that focuses on the seminal American make-up artist, Kevyn Aucoin. Interviews include Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Cher, Tori Amos, and Christy Turlington. The film is distributed by The Orchard/1091 Media and enjoyed an exciting festival run, including DOC NYC, Edinburgh International Film Festival, and Full Frame Documentary Festival. Tiffany received her BFA in theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Following a move to New York City, Tiffany worked consistently as an actress but soon discovered a talent for makeup artistry. She began to sharpen her skills on celebrities and working on film crews. Ultimately, the draw of the film world was contagious and Tiffany made the decision to direct and produce original films, including her award-winning documentary Altered By Elvis and the short film Little Pumpkin, which screened at the prestigious SXSW film festival. She was also selected as a finalist for the AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. Her out-of-the-box producing talents have been the subject of a New York Times Arts Section feature. She has been a past jury member for the Memphis International Film Festival and the Vail Film Festival. She produced the award-winning film Fall To Rise (Panorama Entertainment), Jack and Paul, and director May Elbaz's adaptations of Etgar Keret’s Suddenly…, and Cocked and Locked. Tiffany also created and hosts the podcast Look Behind The Look, which examines the work of some of the greatest makeup, hair, and fashion stylists in the industry.

Christina Humphrey
Senior Manager and Producer of Mailchimp Studios

Christina Humphrey leads licensing and video production for Mailchimp Studios, collaborating on projects with partners large and small, including Oscilloscope, Vice, It's Nice That, Kin, and SXSW as well as independent filmmakers, authors, and creatives to bring multimedia projects to fruition. Previously she was the Programming Director at the Atlanta Film Festival where during her tenure submissions rose to over 6,000. She has a decade of experience in the independent film world doing everything from producing social impact documentaries to serving as a screener and juror for countless film festivals. Christina serves on the advisory board at MINT and is passionate about expanding the range of voices in the arts community.

Penelope Bartlett
Programmer/Consultant

Penelope Bartlett is an independent consultant working across film festivals and distribution. From 2016 - 2022 she worked with the Criterion Collection and was the director of programming for their streaming service, The Criterion Channel. She previously held programming positions at the Chicago International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and the Glasgow Film Festival. She was also the director of programming for the 2016 Palm Springs Shortfest, and a curator and writer for the website shortoftheweek.com. She has also produced several short films, and served on juries and panels at festivals around the world.

Tadeusz Łysiak
Writer & Director

Tadeusz Łysiak – born in 1993, graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Warsaw, student of Directing at the Warsaw Film School. Creator of two award-winning short films in Poland and abroad: "Techno" and "The Dress". Participant of the prestigious program FUTURE FRAMES – Generation NEXT of European Cinema within Eastern Promises at the Karlovy Vary Festival. Winner of the "Discovering Eye" award for young talented filmmaker at the Polish Film Festival in Chicago.

“The Dress” which brought its creators, among others, victory at the Atlanta Film Festival and a Bronze Tadpole at the Energa Camerimage, has been nominated for an Oscar in the Live Action Short category.


DOCUMENTARY SHORT JURY

Artemus Jenkins
Documentarian

Artemus Jenkins is an experimental ethnographer, who utilizes documentary filmmaking and photography to document and comment on everyday life. A born observer and explorer, his artistic practice is rooted in sharing common interests innovatively thru imagery and sound. in 2012 Artemus began independently releasing films about alternative aspects of African Diasporic culture to address the lack of an insider perspective in mainstream media. His photography comments on his own daily existence thru the shared experiences of those he meets in his travels, having created work across 4 continents, over 12 countries, and 35 domestic territories.

Erin Bernhardt

Mark Mori
Filmmaker

Mark Mori is an Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker, Emmy Award-winning TV Producer, and past chair of the Non-Fiction and Documentary Committee, Producers Guild. His films have garnered awards, festival screenings, theatrical, TV, and digital distribution worldwide.


ANIMATED SHORT JURY

Casandra Brewton-Johnson
ASIFA-South Programming Director

Casandra Brewton-Johnson is a Production Manager at Primal Screen and has worked with other local Atlanta studios, such as School of Humans and Slothique. She has a BFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art & Design, an MBA specializing in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, and a BS in Civil Engineering from Southern University and A&M College-Baton Rouge. In addition to her role as Programming Director and Business Associate for ASIFA-South, Casandra also serves as head of the organization's Education Department which designs and offers workshops throughout the Greater Atlanta area.

Jason Shwartz
Director

Jason Shwartz is an Emmy-nominated Director with a deep passion for the collaborative art form that is animation!

Jason has extensive experience in broadcast television production, direction, social gaming, and streaming video. He has directed shows for Netflix, [adultswim], Comedy Central, Hulu, 20th Century Fox, SyFy, AppleTV, IFC, FX, and Disney.  He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a degree in Film & Animation.

For over a decade, Jason has directed at Bento Box Animation Studio Atlanta, working daily with dozens of incredible artists across the entire animation pipeline. 

Additionally, Jason sits as Creative Director and Producer at his own telecommuting studio, Green Shoe Animation, LLC! He is actively involved in the larger animation community as a board member of ASIFA South and previously taught animation at Kennesaw State University.

Jeff Fastner
Director/ Producer

Jeff Fastner has been working in the animation industry for over 25 years, spanning multiple commercial and design houses. He has been at Floyd County Productions for 15 years, working as an Art Director, Producer, and Director. As the lead in visual development for the studio for many years, he cultivated and managed the artistic staff as the company developed multiple pitches, pilots, and shorts. In 2016 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on the 7th season of Archer as Producer. In 2021, he completed work as the Assistant Director on his first feature film, America: The Motion Picture, streaming on Netflix. He was also Supervising Director and Producer on one of FXX’s most recent properties, Poorly Drawn Lines, produced for the anthology series, Cake. Currently, he is helping develop and produce a new series for the FX networks created and written by Drew Goddard.


GEORGIA SHORTS JURY

Christian Nolan Jones
Filmmaker

Christian was raised in Atlanta, GA, but sharpened his skills at Howard University & New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Jones looks to do for his city what John Singleton & Spike Lee have been able to do for theirs.

In 2022, Christian’s latest short film GLITTER AIN’T GOLD (2022), won the Special Jury Award for Directing and Community Filmmaking at the famed SXSW Film Festival. He also won The Georgia Filmmaker Award at the Oscar-qualifying Atlanta Film Festival. He most recently directed an episode of Issa Rae's newest show, RAP SH!T, for HBO Max

Eri Levin
Co-founder and Principal at Popflick

Eri Levin is a highly skilled motion designer, successful entrepreneur, and producer with almost 30 years of experience in the television, advertising, and film industry. His passion for visual storytelling and design has led him to create stunning motion graphics and animations that captivate audiences.

As a producer, Eri has helped bring award-winning films to life, working alongside talented teams to develop and execute compelling creative visions. He has also helped launch several successful TV shows, collaborating with major studios and networks to create visually stunning content that engages audiences worldwide.

Eri has held various senior leadership roles, including art director, creative director, and principal. His ability to inspire and guide teams has been instrumental in the success of numerous projects for global media companies and advertising agencies.

In addition to his work in television and film, Eri has established leading technology platforms for content creators, empowering thousands of visual artists and filmmakers to share and monetize their work with the world.

Eri's dedication to his craft and drive for excellence continue to inspire those around him, making him a sought-after collaborator and leader in the industry. When he's not pushing the boundaries of media production and distribution, Eri enjoys exploring new technologies and staying up to date on the latest trends in media and design.

Molly Coffee
Filmmaker

Molly Coffee emerged as an award-winning filmmaker in the DIY stop-motion and puppet scene in Atlanta, which segued pretty naturally into a career working in the art department on studio pictures. Molly has production-designed tv shows such as Freeform’s Single Drunk Female and Netflix’s First Kill and feature films like Nicolas Cage's genre-horror Willy’s Wonderland. She also makes time to focus on her own films, moving into story-telling with a focus on diverse and queer stories. Molly is not only the owner of the fabrication house Zombie Cat Builds but also the co-owner of cleared artwork company Action Artwork Rental. Molly co-founded the non-profit Film Impact Georgia with the hopes of breaking down the barriers of entry for Georgia local creators.


GEORGIA FEATURE JURY

Leah Meyerhoff
Executive Director, Film Fatales

Leah Meyerhoff (she/they) is an award-winning independent filmmaker who wrote and directed the narrative feature film I BELIEVE IN UNICORNS, which was released theatrically after premiering at SXSW, winning the Grand Jury Prize at the Atlanta Film Festival and additional awards from Woodstock Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Tribeca Film Institute, IFP, and the Adrienne Shelly Foundation. Leah’s films have been screened in over 200 film festivals and aired on IFC, PBS, LOGO, and MTV. She is a fellow of the IFP Narrative Labs, Tribeca All Access Labs, and Emerging Visions program at the New York Film Festival. Leah is also the founder of FILM FATALES, a non-profit organization which advocates for parity in the film industry and supports a membership community of over a thousand feature film and television directors of all marginalized genders. Leah holds a BA in Art-Semiotics from Brown University and an MFA in Directing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Takashi Doscher
Writer/Director

Takashi Doscher is an award-winning writer and director from Atlanta, GA. His second feature film, *Only*, stars Freida Pinto and Oscar-nominated Leslie Odom Jr as star-crossed lovers surviving in a world without women. It premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival and quickly climbed Netflix US to be the #2 most-streamed film in the country in the summer of 2020.  In 2021, his first scripted podcast, *Dark Woods*, became the #1 Fiction Podcast on iTunes, and within a week, was picked up by UniversalTV and Wolf Entertainment to adapt for television. Currently, Takashi is writing the film adaptation for the Playstation videogame blockbuster, *Ghost of Tsushima,* for Sony’s Columbia Pictures and director Chad Stahelski. He is also in development on his latest directorial project, *Blue*, a kaiju thriller, produced by the Russo Brother's AGBO, starring Anthony Mackie.

Mya-Breyana Morton is a talented director and cinematographer based in Atlanta, GA. Her films have received critical acclaim and recognition both domestically and internationally, including multiple awards for her student films "What Remains of Emily," "Proud," and "The Traveler." Mya has collaborated with notable companies such as Target, Always, and Paramount, bringing her unique vision and creativity to their projects. Her dedication to the art of filmmaking is evident in her continuous learning and experimentation in the craft. With a passion for storytelling, Mya is a promising rising talent in the film industry.

William Feagins, Jr.
Filmmaker

William Feagins, Jr. is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Feagins relocated to Atlanta, GA, in 2009, where he began his documentary work chronicling the complexities of the human experience through the lens of Black and Brown people.
