Jimena Montemayor graduated from the CCC / Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico, specialized in direction and cinematography and with a Cum laude mention. And Erasmus scholar at FAMU, Prague, CZ. She essentially performs as a director, photographer and scriptwriter. She works with teenagers rescued from sex slavery giving music and photography workshops as well as working in digital content and films. As a student, she was the DP of "Ver llover" a short film that won the Golden palm the 60th Cannes Film Festival. "En la Sangre" was her first feature film selected at 65th Locarno Film Festival in "Carte Blanche" and premiered at 18th GIFF, Guanajuato. "Restos de Viento" is her second feature.
