Set PAs require hard working, skilled, savvy, team players willing to work long hours and do whatever it takes to keep production running smoothly. The Set Production Assistant or Set PA can be an entry level position teaching you the business from the ground up, but on features, experience is a must. How do you get that experience, should you take an internship position, how do you get a job that requires experience with no experience? These topics and more will be discussed.

During this course you will learn :
Terminology and on-set etiquette
Set PA duties and responsibilities
Different PAs on a Feature, i.e. paperwork PA, basecamp PA, etc.
Basic “tools of the trade”
How to get work and keep working
What makes a great set PA and how not be ‘that guy’ no one wants to hire again

This workshop will help you determine if being a Set PA is really for you. It’s a challenging job, but can be incredibly rewarding if you decide you are up to the challenge. Find out if you have what it takes to join the film industry as a Set Production Assistant.

INSTRUCTORS: Adam Jordan (Set PA – We Are Marshall, Somebodies, Van Wilder: Freshman Year, Not Since You, Killers, Stomp the Yard 2, Hall Pass, Teen Wolf, Three Stooges), Linda Burns (Producer), Jihad ‘JZ’ Ziyad (Set PA – Stomp the Yard 2, The Monique Show, Teen Wolf, The Proxy)

Location:
Hollis Gillespie’s Shocking Real Life Workshop Space
327 Nelson St.
STOREFRONT SUITE #313
Atlanta, GA 30313
